Herr Valentin

The February Kit “Herr Valentin” by Dani Peuss is so cute and so perfect to celebrate your loved boys (and girls!).

I did 5 layouts with it and still have a lot of leftovers!

Here we go:

Silvester (New Years Eve)

We visited friends during the New Year’s weekend and here are some pictures about it for Theo’s album.

All green

My little girl’s favorite color is green. So, it was more than time to make a “love green” layout for her, and this kit is plenty of beautiful greens.

Alles Grün

with lots of delicious details:

I have to confess that this layout did not come out as I expected, but I love the patchwork look and the feel of it. She loves it too.

Love Letter

The third layout carries a letter I asked my mother to write to Anna when she was visiting us last year.

Love letter

The kit has lots of small details to scrap your love moments, and I love the little banner that says “a small love letter”

The letter is hidden in the pocket, made of a bag, I really love the printed paper as a background for this story.

Dreams come true

The idea for this layout  came after I looked through Theo’s album with him other day and realized that there was no layout about his new blue room.

 But now ;)

The little sticker says “dreams come true” and paint the room blue was a dream of us, we love it so much!

Marburg

My favorite layout with this moth’s kit, for sure!

I love Marburg, where I lived when I first moved to Germany. It is the city where I married and where my daughter was born.

I am so happy that we visited it for one day last month and that I could show the kids where we lived before we had them, where I studied, where I loved to shop. We even ate in my favorite restaurant (and the kids actually ate! Yah!)

Marburg

It was cold and rainy but the kids enjoyed the day a lot. And so I did.

The cute little banner comes with the Happy Memories Journaling Cards available in my Etsy Store.

thanks for looking , I know it is a very large post but I love how all the layouts look together :) I now only have to find a little time to put them all in the albums. Ops :)

Project Life – Week 2

Posted on | January 26, 2012 | No Comments

Welcome to Week 2. Pictures are bad bad bad this week. I apologize for it. I walked with this album and searched for the perfect spot to take a picture but the truth is that without natural light and the plastic protectors, there is no way to take good pictures :( and it is simply gray here… day after day.

But you can imagine how it looks like ;) something like this, but gorgeous!

I used another of my title cards this week.

Project Life - Week 2

I used the new journaling cards Days of the Week Set 3 this week (German and English versions). I embellished one card with a punched paper and love how it turned out. I’ll play much more with the cards next week!

I also used the a card from the Travel Set for an everyday moment :)

Love this project. I am so happy that I decided to it this year!

Project Life – Week 1

Welcome to week 1 of 2012.

Project Life - Week 1

There is a lot about new years eve and the January 1st, a bit of baking, and work.

I need to find my way to build these spreads. This week was lot of try and error. I realized I want to print my pictures without frame and that I’ll not round the corners of my photos and cards.

Project Life - Week 1

I created some title cards for my album, they are some sets available here for purchase.

Project Life - Week 1

I realized that it is better to add bulky embellishments to the outside of the pockets ;)

Project Life - Week 1

I realized I need to save bits and pieces of everyday life to add to the pockets. The only thing I had this week was this piece of the cover of our wall calendar. I’ll sure do better next week.

I think I am going to keep loving this project. It is so simple and looks so wonderful. Project Life is good :)

Project Life 2012 – The first page

I think I am ready to go back to regular post. After the winter break we had a bad stomach bug around here, and we were all ill, one after the other… but now it seems it is over Yah!

I never shared the first page of my album, here it is:

 Project Life - Cover

I decided to keep it simple, only the title, our names and ages. One heart for each one of us and one rhinestone for each one of the kids.

 Project Life First Page

I have to confess that I am afraid of 12×12″ papers lol If you follow my blog you know I scrap 8.5×11″ and before I switched to this format, I used to scrap 8×8″. I am not confortable with square format anymore.

I went back and forth about the title page for my album, thought about scrapping a page with a photo of us but them decided to go direct to the point and I love how it turned out. It does also reflect the way I am embracing this project. Simple. Focused on the five of us.

Little blog Vacation

I’ll take few days off of blogging to enjoy the winter break with the kids and to try to get up to date with my scrapbooking stuff ;) I have lots of insteresting things on the plans for this blog and can also barely wait to share my Project Life album here :)

Hope to see you again soon!!!

Could not stop adding little pieces of paper to this page. I love all of the papers in the January kit by Dani Peuss. She has really outdone herself with it.

Project Life 2012

I could barely wait for the new year to start Project Life. For those who does not know what Project Life is, I invite you to visit Becky Higgin’s website. It is about putting pictures, bits and stories of our everyday lifes together in a album.

I’ve been following Ali Edwards for the year of 2011 and seeing other albums around, dreaming and reflecting if it was the right project for me. Them, after I decided I want to try it out I started searching for the right supplies. I wanted to go with on of the kits + page protectors by Becky Higgins but unfortunately they are not available in Germany (in fact in Europe!) and to become them from US with help of friends would only make it so expensive that I would give up before begin.

So, I decided to create my own Project life kit with the following supplies, while I wait for these page protectors to be available for purchase in UK (expected for march 2012!)

1. Paperblanks dayplanner I’ll be using this one to take notes everyday. Something that will be very usefull when I make the weekly spreads for the album.

2. American Crafts Modern Album Chesnut I loved the bare look of this album when I saw it online but now I have it on my hands I think I will personalize it a bit down the road.

3. We R Memory Keepers Photo Protectors multi pack I got his pack with 10 page protectors and at the first sight I like them. Lets see how it goes and if they will be enough until the page protectors from Project Life arrive in Europe. I am thinking about getting these here too, when they are available again.

4. Journaling Cards from my Etsy Store. I plan to add lots of new styles to this collection during the year. I currently have two different sets of days of the week cards, a set called “Ten Things” great for lists and one called “Happy Memories“, a everyday set.

I can’t wait to start sharing my project life with you!
