Two pages layouts

I still had an envelope full of Pictures from our trip to Italy last fall and I decided it was time to go through it.
I spread all five Albums where the Pictures could go in (Project Life 2012, the Kids Albums and the travel diary) on the floor, looked what I already had done and designed the pictures into empty page protectors / divided page protectors. And them I decided to make some two pages layouts annd to include some 6×12″ divided page protectors in the kids albums, so I could get that envelope empty.
Here is what I did:
A pretty simple two pages layout that looks much better in person (it looks a bit wonky in the photos, with all the lines but it is all straight IRL)
The other layout is about our visit to the aquarium in Genova, a whole Family favorite. I used the Sunday Sketch from Studio Calico as my starting Point for this page. I always find a bit difficult to come with a design for two pages and was really happy when I saw a two pages sketch in the blog this week.
I already did a two pages layout for the boy’s Album about that visit:

and for the Little Girl I went with a one-page layout + a divided 6×12″ page protector for the extra photos.
This layout has a paper bag behind the photo, where an entrance ticket for the Aquarium is tucked in:
See? The adorable whale was a free shape from the Silhouette online store, the badge is part of the ”Oh happy day“ set available on my Etsy store. The papers are from the Knee highs and Bow ties collections from Basic Grey. They are seriously adorable! I got the paper pads and some favorite 12×12″ papers to go with it. So happy so far

Family Pictures

I work on lots of Albums: an Album for each child, an Album for me, mini Albums, Project life Albums, and the Family Album.
The Family Album is a place for layouts featuring the 5 of us, but also from the time we were 4, or only 3. The kids love this album but I am not very happy with it because it is 6×6 and some pages only have a photo glued to a sheet of paper from a paper pad. I always wanted to make a “big” 8×8″ Album for the family pictures with proper layouts but never got it started. Last week I finally scrapped a page and decided I’ll scrap a page every week, print some digi layouts I already scrapped in 8×8″ and get it going.
Here is what I have so far:
My Goal is to Keep the Album simple, with mostly one photo layouts and a little note including where and when the Picture was taken.
I am very happy to finally have started this and can’t wait to add more pages to this Album.

Welcome to week 16 of 2013. I did a better job taking pictures this week.
For this spread I went with pinks and blues. Lots of journaling Cards from my Etsy store and some large, 4×6″ journaling Cards from my stash. Just trying to keep it simple and updated.
April 14-17: Reflexions on everyday life. Little Boy “watching TV”, Kids Theater and bike riding.
The “love” Card is part of a 12×12″ sheet that came with my Studio Calico Kit. It was the Inspiration for this spread

This week I finished two new printable Party sets. I really love them and can’t wait for using them for my own. The Boy already declared he wants a Lego Party for his next birthday.
I can already see the the table decorated with These printables and some real Lego buildings and cars. And the Kids playing with bricks. This is going to be very cool!
Born to Build – Girls - in the very best Lego Friends Colors
These Party packages include all you Need to assemble a perfect birthday Party: candy wrappers, cupcake wrappers and toppers, tent Cards / Name Cards, bottle Labels, Party hats, happy birthday banner, straw flags, Popcorn boxes, thank you tags, gift bag toppers… and if you only want to purchase part of the set, there is the “a la carte” section in the store where everything is available separately.
There are two kinds of invitations, with and without photo.
The Invitation without photo is available in the formats 6×4″ and 5×7″ so it is pretty easy to send them to the developer and have it printed as a normal photo. I recommend to choice the matte finish for a professional look.

This Party was inspired by the “Born to Build” digital scrapbooking kit, which can ne used to scrap the Pictures afterwards
The kit is availabel for instant download on my digital Etsy store and on Baers Garten Designs.
Also available are the quick pages, for instant scrap gratification

Basic Grey Love

I have a huge stash of Basic Grey paper. It was the first scrapbooking company I fwas in love with and I kept collecting BG papers for years and years.
Note that I wrote that I collected the papers, not that I actually scrapped with them. I have to confess that it makes me a bit sad because some of my favorite papers did not found their way to my albums. So when I saw that there were 11 NSD challenges in the BG blog this week I thought to myself: Time to get some layouts done and some beautiful papers in the albums!
So, here I go: first layout is for the challenge to scrap with a grid.
For this layout I used the new Knee Highs Paper Pad + Snippets. I also added a bag from the Sweet Notes collection by Webster Pages which has just the right shade of pink and the right size to hold a Notebook Basic journaling card. Brad, jewels and button are My Minds Eye.
…………………………………………………..
The next layout is for the challenge to use a non-Holiday collection to scrap Holiday Pictures. I choice the Konnichiwa Collection, a favorite of mine which was sitting in my shelves.
Egg hunting
I embellished my favorite butterflies with a button for the very first time and love it. I think I might get addicted
…………………………………………………………………….
The next layout is for the challenge to create a title with scissors or a cut machine. I designed and cut my title with the Cameo.
Story time
How cool is this clear Frame?
Badge from the Love Forever set.
Thanks for stopping by today and get those beautiful papers in the albums!
